FoBK was set-up in 2014 with the initial objective of pursuing the gazettement of Bukit Kiara as a green space. With partial gazettement under progress, it has now evolved to championing and building long-term appreciation of the conservation and biodiversity value of Bukit Kiara.
This is to ensure the pathway for full gazettement is upheld, as well as protect Bukit Kiara from future regressive steps such as possible de-gazettement driven by development pressure.
